Newcomer Willem Ruggenberg introduces himself

I have been part of the great Anthura team since 21 March. While looking for an interesting and varied job in the Netherlands, I came across the vacancy for Sales Support Manager. I was not only attracted by the position, but also by the fact that Anthura is a family business.

I have commercial and managerial experience in a variety of industries in both the national and international arenas. I was responsible for worldwide sales and marketing at Geomil Equipment, where 80% of the customers are located outside the Netherlands. At Ticketveiling I was responsible for the entire organization. I intend to use all this experience in a branch that is new to me.

My position as Sales Support Manager is varied and challenging, with responsibility for the sales back office and the document and logistics department, a growing export business and ambitious growth targets. It is great to see how professional both my team and the entire organization are. It is a true team effort by all colleagues to serve our customers in any way they can.

I have lived in Leiden since 1993, first as a student and now with my family. I have a son and daughter and we love to travel together. Other than that, I’ve been a huge Formula 1 fan for years.

It is wonderful to be a part of this great 'Anthura family’ and I hope to continue working here for many years to come. During the FlowerTrials, I have met a number of international customers and I hope to get to know the other customers as well. See you soon!
