Take part in the Ride for the Roses 2017 in Lansingerland, the Netherlands

On 3 September 2017, the 20th edition of the Ride for the Roses will be organised in and around the town of Lansingerland. This special event includes a cycling tour of 100 kilometres and two tours of 25 and 50 kilometres and has become a household name in Holland. It is a fundraising cycling tour in the fight against cancer. Everybody can participate and each participant receives a rose at the finish.

The success of the Ride for the Roses lies in its unique formula: Enjoy the event together with approximately 10,000 bicycle lovers in a sportive, healthy and pleasant way and at the same time combat cancer, by raising funds for KWF Fight against Cancer.

The Ride is for everyone
Young and old, trained and less active cyclists; everybody can participate in the Ride for the Roses. A long string of thousands of participants cycling together towards the same goal. The 100 km ride is a unique experience, with a real ‘tour’ feeling, because with the largest peloton of the world you cycle along a completely defined trail. You can cover all three tours at your own pace. This year the start and finish of all tours is at the premises of the Royal Lemkes company in Bleiswijk.

Come and take part
Anthura will also be taking part with a team and as a relation you can be part of it! Register now and get riding on 3September together with other colleagues from the Anthura starting area. Anthura is the local sponsor of this event, so participating in the Anthura cycling team will not entail any costs for you.

Sunday 3 September
Along with the other Anthura team members, you will first enjoy a communal breakfast in the morning. Around 10.00 o’clock, the starting signal for the 100 km tour will sound for the more experienced and trained cyclists and subsequently the 50 and 25 km tours will take off.

You can also do the 25 and 50 km tours on a normal bike, because taking part, cycling and enjoying yourself is more important than achieving a fast time. At the finishing line there will be several performances and the day will be concluded festively with the announcement of the revenues as the icing on the cake.

Ride along with other colleagues and register before 26 June at ridefortheroses@anthura.nl; please indicate for which distance you would like to sign up for.
