Discover the world of Orchids

The Phalaenopsis is the queen of the Orchid family, but there are over 20.000 other family members. These 'Special Orchids’ are in the spotlight as Houseplant of the month November.

Phalaenopsis is worldwide the most popular orchid. To give credit where credit is due: within the Orchidaceae family Phalaenopsis is the original trailblazer that introduced the public to the exotic beauty of Orchids. However, this family of plants includes many other fabulous bloomers, all just as charismatic.

Anthura has, besides her assortment of over 100 commercial Phalaenopsis varieties, her very own exclusive collection: Orchids Discoveries.

Special Orchids houseplant of the month
Exactly these exclusive discoveries  are promoted in the month November. Flower Council Holland puts these special Orchids in the spotlight and provided special POS material.

Orchid Discoveries
Our unique collection ‘special orchids’ exists of the following orchids; Masdevallia, Cambria, Oncidium and Tolumnia. They are so exclusive that the availability is so much limited. The Orchid Discoveries are herewith niche products and for the public in fact unknown orchids.

Orchid on the Flower Calendar
At the stand for Orchids, Phalaenopsis also deserves its place. It’s all about the classy orchid in week 46 to 48 of 2016. Images of every flower in the Flower Agenda have been produced in line with the Horticulture Sector Trends 2016.
