Livium painting on its way to Sweden

With a wonderful donation for the Hartstichting on top!

The work of art by Livium®, which was created during the Royal FloraHolland Trade Fair, was presented to Lex Vollebregt of OZ Planten in Aalsmeer on Wednesday 19 December. While the paint was still wet, he visited the Stolk Brothers stand with his Swedish customer, Blomsterlandet. The work of art appealed so much to the imagination that Blomsterlandet immediately showed an interest in acquiring the painting.

In return, OZ Planten and Blomsterlandet jointly transferred the generous sum of €3,000 to the Hartstichting. The Dutch Anthurium growers are ambassadors for the Heart Foundation, so the charitable aspect of the action was immediately evident.

Livium is a unique novelty in the pot Anthurium assortment. We even calls it ‘Anthurium Art’ and that is why the introduction of the plant at the Royal FloraHolland Trade Fair was graced with a painter. For two days, she painted two works of art with Livium as the model.

Stolk Brothers from Bergschenhoek is growing Livium and the plant is available in the pot sizes of 14 and 17 cm. “The action at the fair was a great success,” says David Stolk. “Something happened both literally and figuratively at our stand. The action with the painter attracted visitors and Livium was very popular. It exceeded our expectations.”

There is tremendous interest in this new variety. This colour scheme in pot Anthuriums is unique, which is one of the many reasons it is so sought-after. There is a lot of interest in the plants and many customers want to include Livium in their assortment.

Blomsterlandet will give the painting a beautiful, prominent place in the company and the first Livium plants have already preceded the painting on their way to Sweden.
