Anthura joins Prime Minister Rutte’s trade mission to China and signs important MoU.

Dutch Prime Minister M. Rutte, accompanied by several of his ministers including the Dutch minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, Mrs. C. Schouten, is on a trade mission from April 8 to April 13 2018 to China. Mr. H. de Boer, chairman of VNO-NCW is the business mission leader of this trip. Over 165 companies participate on this trade mission, amongst whom Anthura, represented by CCO Mr. M van Herk.

Mrs. Schouten and the delegation will visit several horticultural companies, including the Haisheng Group. The Haisheng Group is an important trade partner for Dutch horticulture companies. Their state of the art strawberry nursery is one of the companies to be visited by Minister Schouten, as it utilizes lots of Dutch technology.

Another part of the programme of this mission is a top level meeting with the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture. Talking point of this meeting is the reform of the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, and the effects this will have on the trade with The Netherlands. Another item on the agenda is the Enforcement of Plant Breeders’ Rights, this item was added to the agenda at the request of Anthura.

Signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
Today, on April 10 a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will take place between Haisheng Group and Kunming Anthura Horticulture Co. Ltd. The MoU signifies the delivery of young plants from Kunming Anthura to the Haisheng Group under the admission of the Minister of Agriculture.

The MoU was signed by Mr Li Qi, Vice-General Manager from the Haisheng Group and Mr M. van Herk, Managing Director of Kunming Anthura Horticulture Co. Ltd.
