18-08-2010 | Last Wednesday the Anthurium was announced office plant of the year 2010. The Anthurium, also called Flamingo plant, is the most ideal plant at the office. The plant cleans the air, stands rough handling, is available in various colours and needs little care.

A professional scientific jury, existing of amongst others plant experts of Fytagoras Plant Science (part of TNO*), the National Health Institute NIGZ and members of the Dutch Association of Secretaries (NVD) declared the Anthurium office plant of the year 2010.

Jury chairman Bert van Duijn (Fytagoras Plant Science) is very positive about the Anthurium: “Because the Flamingo plant is also available in bigger sizes, the plant can also be put on the floor at home and in the office. The smaller sizes are just excellently suitable to put on the desk beside the monitor. An important spot, because research has shown that everybody who works more than four hours per day with a monitor, really feels more comfortable and is more productive thanks to the plants on the workplace. The Flamingo plant is a real office buddy.”
