28-12-2007 | On December 13 and 14 Dutch Creations organized a two day trip to London.

The two Anthurium pot plant growers Robin van der Knaap of Pot Plants greenhouse De Wilgenlei and Stefan Groenewegen of De Groene Tint were present.

The aim of the visit to Londen was market research of various retailers in England.
The focus was partially the outer scope, and partially the retailers that carry floral products . The visit was planned a week before Christmas. In this week, the main focus is on the holiday season. Furthermore, it shows the way retailers prepare for the “ big spending” of this period.

Upon arrival in London the growers, under supervision of Mattijs Bodegom (marketing manager Dutch Creations), visited several garden centres en others retail-chains. The program included retailers such as Tesco, Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Home Base, Whole Foods, B& Q and Morrisons. The part of the program outside of the floral world included the Apple-store, Nike flagship store, Selfridges and Starbucks. Presentations from ConsumerView and FlowerCouncil UK completed the program.
