A distinguished visit to Anthura

26-05-2010 | A delegation of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's parliament, visited Anthura on Saturday May 22, 2010. It has been a pleasure for Anthura to welcome these distinguished guests in Bleiswijk.The delegation was led by Mr. Hua Jianmin, vice chairman of the NPC Standing Committee; he has made a valuable contribution to the economic development of Shanghai, especially the Pudong area.
Mr. Hua Jianmin was accompanied by 24 persons, amongst who Mr Zhang Jun, the Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary, Mr Qi Dahai, the first secretary and Mr Mao Qinghe, the second secretary of the embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Netherlands.
The delegation was visiting a few European countries amongst which the Netherlands. Commercial Director, Marco van Herk and Managing Director, Iwan van der Knaap gave a conducted tour around the new greenhouse at the Cyclamenweg in Bleiswijk. This greenhouse houses all the young plant material of Anthurium.
With much attention for the technique in the greenhouse, the delegation got a good impression of the high innovation level in the Dutch horticulture. Mr. Hua Jianmin was impressed by the technique Anthura uses in its greenhouses.
After the tour in the greenhouse, the complete delegation visited the show room of Anthura, where more than 150 varieties of Anthurium and Phalaenopsis pot plants and cut flowers are shown. The variety of colours, flowers and plants was overwhelming.
