29-04-2010 | On last April 26 Anthura received a delegation of eminent dignitaries from Taiwan, amongst who the Taiwanese minister of agriculture and the agriculture attaché of Taiwan.Under the guidance of the Taiwanese minister of agriculture, mister Chen-Wu-Hsiung, the Taiwanese delegation visited, together with the Taiwanese ambassador in the Netherlands, Mr Frank Liu the new greenhouse at the Cyclamenweg in Bleiswijk.
Commercial Director, Marco van Herk and Commercial Manager Export, Rick Kroon gave a conducted tour around the new greenhouse. During a lunch one spoke amongst other things about the import of Anthurium in Taiwan. Phalaenopsis is a known product in Taiwan, but the import of Anthurium is committed to very strict regulations.
The Taiwanese minister of agriculture was impressed by the strict hygiene regulations applied by Anthura and high quality standards for young plant material Anthura strives for.
The Taiwanese delegation was from Sunday April 25 until Thursday April 29 in the Netherlands for consultation at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature Management and Food Quality. The visit to Anthura was part of a working visit of the agriculture study group.
