27-04-2010 | Peelen Anthurium performed well at the VKC inspection which was held last week at the Keukenhof in Lisse. With no fewer than 9.40 points, the variety Tropical won the first award. This, certainly, is worth a congratulation!

Worldwide Tropical is the most wanted variety. The variety is very popular among the flower lovers as well as the Anthurium lovers. Her typical, vivid red colour and yellow spadix is recognizable for everyone. Tropical has a diameter from 12 to 14 cm and has a vase life of 23 days.

The variety Tropical from Peelen Anthurium was greatly appreciated by the VKC judging-committee. The week-end before the inspection, it was very busy at the Keukenhof, many visitors saw the shining red Anthurium cutflower.

Because of the nice weather from last week-end thousands of visitors paid a visit to the Keukenhof. The dune- and bulb-growing region of Holland and the colourful flower parade was visited by even more than 1 million people.

The Anthurium flowers at the Keukenhof look magnificent and the visitors are treated to the many varieties and colours of the assortment. Even when less good weather is expected, a visit to the covered Beatrix Pavilion is really worth it.

On Tuesday May 4, the Anthuriums will be refreshed for the last time in the Beatrix Pavilion. There will be no inspection, but it concerns a free exhibit from growers. The Anthura assortment will then be represented with a selection of 18 varieties. Together with the growers there will be taken care of the last colour explosion from this season.
