Members of the Dutch Lower House visit Anthura

03-03-2008 | An interesting visit on Friday February 29, members of the Dutch Lower House visited Anthura.

The visit was part of five working visits to the main horticultural area in the west of the Netherlands. Businesses like environment, energy, screening of light through WKK (linking heat and power) - labour- CO2 and biological protection of the plants were discussed.

The aim of the working visits is getting members of the Dutch Lower House acquainted with the innovative developments in these horticultural areas.

The visit to Anthura was a part of a working visit to Leen Huisman B.V.. The principle of a diaphragm screen was, among other things, illustrated. This screen is a result of a innovative, cooperative project of Anthura B.V. with  Leen Huisman B.V. and Logiqs Agro.
Anthura uses this diaphragm screen in the demonstration greenhouse. The screen was awarded during the Hortifair 2006 with the innovation award in the technique division. The construction of the new greenhouse of Anthura, that should be finished by the end of 2008, will also be completely equipped with the diaphragm screen of Leen Huisman B.V.

After an introduction of Anthura, the delegation visited the demonstration greenhouse were all the different varieties are grown. Furthermore a demonstration of the diaphragm screen was given.

It was an interesting visit for both the members of the Lower House as Anthura.
