These novelties are still tested, but the first test results are positive and Anthura would like to involve growers in an early stage. In Bleiswijk, Anthura has a special test location, called Anthura Flower, where all Anthurium novelties are carefully tested and inspected. Growers can visit Anthura Flower by appointment, but what a better way to show growers the novelties as to show them at Flora 2009 as well.
The exhibition
Ercolano is situated in Campania, the number one of the Italian flower regions. More than 50% of the Italian cut flowers are nowadays produced in the South, the region Campania as absolute leader.
The in 1962 established sales organisation for cut flowers, Cooperative Masaniello counts 250 members. Thirteen years ago this sales organisation took the first steps towards the organisation of a cut flower exhibition. With 20.000 visitors Flora is a meeting place for horticulture and flower trade in Italy.
Importance of growers
By means of the experience of growers Anthura looks if there is a potential market for each novelty. Growers can therefore test these novelties in small quantities under their own climate conditions in a very early stage. Their feedback is a valuable source of information whether to introduce a new variety or not.
Anthura and local agent De Plantis S.a.s present at the exhibition will give information about the availability and conditions of purchase of these novelties.
Come and visit Flora 2009 in Ercolano and judge which novelties could be interesting for you!
