Anthura sponsors new shirts G-team Soccer Boys
23-10-2009 |
Anthura has been the sponsor of the G-team, a special soccer team for disabled persons of football club S.V. Soccer Boys from Bleiswijk. Recently new shirts have been distributed. The players of the G-team play in the orange colour of the Dutch national team
Anthura is shirt sponsor of the G-team and Marco van Herk, commercial director of Anthura, handed over in person the new shirt to team captain Joeri van Gendt. The old shirts are not thrown away, but get a second life. The shirts of last year go to Ghana, where young children playing football wear the old shirts.
First match Under the guidance of team captain Joeri the team played its first match in the new shirts very passionately. Wouter Hazekamp scored that day with a tremendous goal. Unfortunately the G-team lost the home match with 1-9, but after the match the team created a surprise: they won the penalties with 7-4. Jacco Koornneef, employee of Anthura and father of player Nilanka, acted as referee.
Football teamThe football team sometimes causes confusion at the opponents; the team namely has two twins: Dennis and Wouter Hazekamp and John and Marcel v.d. Knaap. Not all players of the G-team are men; being the only lady, Nilanka Koornneef keeps on going very well.
The whole G-team exists of the following top players:
Danny Phan-Chu
Dave Sebel
Dennis Hazekamp
Jeffrey van Winden
Joeri van Gendt
John v.d. Knaap
Joost Vermeulen
Jopie de Werk
Joris Hannema
Marcel v.d. Knaap
