Anthura Santos wins 3rd price Innovation Award

13-10-2009 | The International Horti Fair has an extensive innovation programme and the accolade of the official Innovation Award is its most important element. This programme has been set up by the trade show to stimulate innovation in products and services in international horticulture.

Out of the 200-odd innovations entered in the competition, the international jury awarded Phalaenopsis pot plant Anthura Santos as the third price winner of the Horti Fair Innovation Award 2009.

Anthura Santos is a small flowering lilac Phalaenopsis variety is new. It is suitable for the smaller pot: 9 cm pot and 12 cm pot. This variety has 4.5 cm lilac flowers and orange lips. The plant height is about 30 cm and herewith very compact.

The vase life of Anthura Santos is good, by which the product fits excellently to the theme of the Horti Fair 2009: durability. The consumer can enjoy Anthura Santos for months. The review of the jury was: “sumptuous flowering pot plant, it has a special colour”.

All new products registered with the Horti Fair can be recognised during the trade show by the special ‘New’ logo on the products, as well as by the highlighting on the exhibition floor plans and on the special new products trail. Further the nominated varieties are exhibited in the House of Quality, location Horti Grow & Trade in hall 7.
