Anthura presents upcoming stars at the Horti Fair

02-10-2009 | On the Horti Fair Anthura presents you some upcoming stars. As much as 10 novelties will be shown, which you may not miss. Dutch Creations offers you this year more spectacular demonstrations given by national and international top designers.

Anthurium pot plants

Joli®
This pot plant lives up to its name (meaning beautiful in French). It is a compact pot plant with a nice plant structure. This variety can be grown in a 12 and 14 cm pot.

The young flowers are lavender coloured and turn into a vivid pink as the flowers become older. These slightly older flowers keep their striking decoration value. The dark green leafs give this plant a bit more spice. Another strong characteristic of Joli is its long vase life.

Royal Champion®
A novelty within the Champion range assortment. A Royalty with very big vividly red coloured flowers in the 12 and 14 cm pot plant assortment. Royal Champion is a generously bushy plant with nice dark green leafs.

The flowers rise above the foliage which makes this variety very appealing. This variety has a strong and long vase life. Royal Champion is suitable for various pot sizes; 12, 14 and 17 cm pots.

Anthurium cut flowers

Lucardi®
A nicely shaped flower, with an ideal average size. The fresh green base colour of the flower, runs into a pink tip. The intense veins immediately catch the eye. The freshness and the beautiful striking colours are typical for Lucardi. The spadix has a clean white base with a touch of yellow and a green tip. With an average vase life of 33 days, the vase life is longer than one month.

Lumina®
Lumina is a cheerful, chic flower with special details. The deviant, oblong shape of the flower is intensified by the twist or curl at the end. The white base is complementary to the very subtle and fine light green veins; these veins seem to melt with the white coloured base. The cut flower has a slim spadix: lilac.

Lumina is absolutely different compared to the traditional shaped Anthurium. Lumina has an average vase life of 41 days.

Meander®
From the heart of the flower special coloured veins arise, which make this flower very special. The veins on this green/pink Anthurium will become more intensive, if harvested later. Even after putting the flowers in a vase the colours of the veins keep on changing. The spadix has a white base colour which runs into yellow and ends with a nice green tip. The average vase life is 42 days.

Phalaenopsis

Anthura Jakarta p
In the 15 cm pot assortment it is an upcoming star. Thanks to its large flowers and impressive appearance an outstanding example of how big and beautiful Phalaenopsis can be. The plant gives one hundred percent 2–branches and even branches off. Anthura Jakarta is extremely flourishing with flowers of 11-12 cm. It has a plant height of 80 cm.

Anthura Ravello p
Anthura Ravello is with its yellow-orange colour is a remarkable appearance. The plant has beautiful large flowers with a light stripe in the flowers. The plant height is 55 cm and the flower size is 8 cm. Anthura Ravello is suitable for the 12 cm pot.

Anthura Santos p
This small flowering lilac Phalaenopsis variety is new. Anthura Santos is suitable for the smaller pot; 9 cm pot and 12 cm pot. This variety has 4,5 cm lilac flowers and orange lips. Anthura Santos looks ‘warm’ and special because of the attractive lilac colour. The plant height is about 30 cm and therefore compact. The vase life of Anthura Santos is good.

Anthura Tulcan p
Anthura Tulcan has a plant height of 50 cm and a flower size of 7 cm, so it belongs to the medium sized segment of Phalaenopsis. The plant has lilac pastel coloured flowers with a catchy orange lip. Anthura Tulcan is suitable for the 12 cm pot and easily gives 3 branches!

Anthura Valencia p
A novelty within the ˝ Harlequin˝ segment: fully white flowers with a dark purple spot in the heart of the lip. Flower size 8 cm and with a plant height of 55 cm a beautiful piece. This variety is suitable for the 12 cm pot. Anthura Valencia has a height percentage 2-branches and flowers uniform.
