Anthura offers growers and traders many new varieties on the Horti Fair 2008

24-09-2008 | From 14 to 17 October 2008 the ninth edition of the international horticulture exhibition, the Horti Fair in the RAI in Amsterdam is being held. This year Anthura offers many new varieties.

Each year more than 800 exhibitors participate and as much as 46.000 visitors come to the Horti Fair. During the exhibition you will get a full update of the latest developments and with great enthusiasm we will present you as much as 15 novelties.

In addition we would be pleased to personally hand over an edition of our new catalogue. The catalogue gives you a clear view of our constant growing assortment of Anthurium and Phalaenopsis. It features over 200 varieties; including the most popular varieties and as much as 75 new varieties.

Overall this year’s visit will be particular interesting. You will find Anthura in hall 7, booth number 07.0202. Are you looking for inspiration, experience and practical ideas, a visit to the Dutch Creations demonstration area will be more than rewarding.

Opening days
The Horti Fair 2008 has the following opening days: Tuesday October 14 until Friday October 17. This year the trade fair is daily opened from 10.00 - 19.00 hours.

Novelties

Artica® (Anthurium cut flower)
An ice-cold tropical flower. This white cut flower with cream coloured spadix has a diameter of 10-12 cm and a vase life of as much as 30 days. This flower has a very high production. 

Narita® (Anthurium cut flower) 
This red butterfly shaped flower seems to fly away. In the category Obake, Narita is a happy little novelty. The dark red flower has little green ears and a cream coloured spadix with yellow top. The vase life is approximately 47 days.

Anthurium Peruzzi® (Anthurium cut flower)
Beautiful organic colours and shapes characterize this special flower. The colour is not easy to describe, it varies from green to pink. The combination with the red pink veins, the dark red coloured spadix and the special shape make this variety unique. The branch and flower are relatively firm, which distinguishes Peruzzi from other cut flowers.

Anthurium Sonera® (Anthurium cut flower)
Powerful, large and red are the three characteristics of Sonera. The flower has a vividly red colour with dark green ears and a cream coloured spadix with yellow top. It is eye-catching with its diameter of 18-22 cm. The powerfull appearance has a vase life of 39 days. 

Cherry Champion ® (Anthurium pot plant)
A true novelty in the Champion assortment. The flowers of this pot plant have an unique cherry colour. Cherry Champion is a bushy plant with beautiful dark green leaves, the flowers stand clear above the dense foliage. The pot plant is suitable for both 14 and 17 cm pot.

Lentini Series: Lentini Pink®, Lentini White ® and Lentini Red®
(Anthurium pot plants)
Anthura introduces a special Lentini series for the 9cm pot. The series is characterized by the happy colours, the bushy plants and the numerous little flowers. The series includes the following 3 varieties: Lentini Pink: a sweet pink colour, Lentini White: a classic cream-white colour and Lentini Red: a warm red colour 

Anthurium Turenza® '(Anthurium pot plant)
Within the popular red category, a real cracker. This large flowering pot plant has shiny, bright red flowers. The leafs are dark green and very firm, in addition the flowers stands beautifully above the foliage. The pot plant is suitable for both 14, 17 and 21 cm pot.

Anthura Bordeaux p (Phalaenopsis pot plant)
A new variety with intense claret-coloured flowers. The flower size is 7,5 cm and the plant has a height of 55 cm. This variety is suitable for the 12 cm pot. Anthura Bordeaux has a high percentage of 2-stems.

Anthura Catalina p (Phalaenopsis pot plant)
This small flowering purple Phalaenopsis is new. Anthura Catalina is suitable for the smaller pot; 9 and 12 cm and has a lot of purple flowers (4-5cm). This variety has a fresh appearance and a special purple colour. The plant height is approximately 30 cm which makes the plant compact. The shelf life is good.

Anthura Chengdu p (Phalaenopsis pot plant)
Anthura Chengdu is an eye-catching appearance. The plant has beautiful large lilac flowers with a remarkable orange lip. The plant height is 65 cm and the flowers have a diameter of 8 cm. Anthura Chengu is suitable for the 12 pot.

Anthura Kathmandu p (Phalaenopsis pot plant)
A novelty for the large pot; 12 and 15 cm. Thanks to its large flowers and impressive character, is Anthura Katmandu is very suitable for the bigger pot size. De plant gives a 100% two stems, sometimes it even gives more stems. The plant gives a large number of flowers; the size of each flower is 11-12 cm. 

Anthura York p (Phalaenopsis pot plant)
New white variety for the 12 cm pot. The plant height is 60 cm. The flowers are large (9,5 cm), bright white and beautifully ranged per stem.

Anthura Hiroshima p (Phalaenopsis cut flower)
This large flowering cut flower has extremely large flowers with a diameter of 11 cm. The white flowers are perfectly ranged on the stem. Anthura Hiroshima has a production of as much as 300 flowers per gross square meter per year.
